On Friday, June 15th, we drove to a surprise location (turned out to be South Haven, Michigan) for what was supposed to be a trip to celebrate our dating anniversary of 4 years. We checked into a beautiful B&B (Monroe ManorInn) and strolled the harbor of South Haven. For dinner, Jon had another surprise in store for me. We drove to a neighboring town, Sagatuck, and pulled into the parking lot of Oval Beach. I couldn't believe how he managed to pull this surprise off--he had packed everything needed for the perfect picnic dinner!! We enjoyed a special bottle of wine from our trip to Santa Barbara last year while watching a beautiful Michigan sunset, and then...
The night ended with me saying "No way"...and then finally "YES!".
